THE CHAU MOSQUITO CAMPAIGN
The Chau Mosquito Campaign aims to

Raise awareness about the diseases transmitted by the Aedes aegypti mosquito: dengue, zika, chikungunya and yellow fever.

Promote community actions for prevention.

Train and support community multipliers and local teams to strengthen prevention strategies and actions in those locations most affected by these diseases.

A NETWORK FOR PREVENTION
The campaign works with a network concept, promoting articulations between the different members of the social fabric to achieve greater scope in prevention actions, and together generate a “social mosquito net for prevention” among all.

COMMUNITY MULTIPLIERS
The role of community multipliers is fundamental, as key references in the towns and villages, so that the Campaign takes root in the communities and reaches families. Since Aedes aegypti is a domestic mosquito, it is in homes where prevention actions need to be implemented.
